Australia has banned the export of aluminum ore, bauxite and alumina as part of the ongoing sanctions due to Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

In a statement made by the Australian government, it was announced that 20 percent of Russia's alumina needs depend on Australia.

In the statement, it was stated that this move will limit the aluminum production capacity, which is critical for Russia's exports.
